Erran composed the score for Survivor, an animated short directed by Zoom Rockman that brings to life the testimony of Holocaust survivor Ivor Perl BEM. Using hand-drawn puppet animation on a glass platform — with every puppet, prop and vehicle crafted by hand — the film follows Ivor’s journey as a 12-year-old boy taken with his family from their home in Hungary to Auschwitz, Kaufering, Allach and Dachau in 1944, drawing on his first-hand testimony and his book Chicken Soup Under the Tree: A Journey to Hell and Back. Produced by Lemon Soul, Survivor won Best Human Rights Film at the WRAP Film Festival.
